We've got it ... Fat Quarter Fonts!

STOP! Before you read any further, go read this first. You have to do it in the proper order so you can enjoy the entire experience.

Waiting ... waiting ......

Ok ... so you saw the process on the Atkinson Designs end of things ...  in their door ... repacked and back out ... and then magically the boxes begin appearing at quilt shops all around the country ... like mine!

So what's the first thing we see when we open the box?

The invoice of course! Someone's got to pay for the fun.

And then ... there it is! I swear ... waiting for this book has been like waiting for the new baby to come ... it's been in the works since last Summer when Terry held her shop owner retreat in Wisconsin. She wouldn't let me show any of the photos of the quilts the owners made. Hmmm ... wonder where I stored those. This cover quilt is adorable ... and the colors are orange!

A little peek inside the covers ... I'm not going to give away the concept ... I've got that invoice to pay, you know. But this method of applique will totally blow you away! Terry has step-by-step photos and tons of tips to make your fonts come out as crisp and sharp as hers. Make sure you read the book's introduction, too. It's riveting! :-)

Look at that cute Christmas quilt done with charm packs! The font sizes are fat quarter or charm pack friendly. Love the banner ... I need one that say's CREATE for the hideout. And I wonder if that bag with the R on it has a home yet.

And here's the book's secret weapon ... it comes with a cd so you can print the letters you need without all that hand tracing. Load up on Carol Doak's foundation paper ... it'll slide right through your printer. Terry has included centering marks to make sure your fonts are exactly placed.

So what do our unsuspecting customers think of Fat Quarter Fonts? I think they are pleasantly surprised!!

Celebrating in style

I wish we had a birthday coming up in our family because I want everything on the birthday display at Kowalski's

They had all kinds of perfect things to celebrate a birthday with.

This book looked kind of interesting!

Who can resist the darling cake plates and ice cream bowls?

And candles shaped like cupcakes. Fun fun ...

Little tidbits for your ice cream. And maybe some chocolate covered sunflowers for added color.  Don't you wish you had a birthday coming up?
